A: Setting aside the fact that it is full of military men and has been very good to me in that form...the weather is very important to me. I live very close to the coast, today it is 78 and very little humidity. Yet we are an hour away from the desert, the mountains (if you want to go to the snow) and close enough to Los Angeles. Love it here.

A: This one really stumped me...sometimes my memory is about as long as my dick. I know Chi Chi directed one for me in Paris, but my recollection is going to Prague to shoot with William Higgins who had been living there for some time. He did some wonderful things for me like ANDEL’S STORY and many others. In the later years, I would have foreign directors make product and buy it from them in Brazil, Canada, Hungary and other places. I can’t really recall the first one, hope it wasn’t you and I forgot!

A: Thanks for asking about Dirky. A few years ago a man wrote and told me that he would stop watching my tapes if I didn’t do something about that “Damn Cat” jumping on the bed. I replied with a letter apologizing and letting him know that it know that it wouldn’t happen again as I had put him down, which was not really true. Dirky is a third generation Bengal and has a very wild streak to him, mostly when you least expect it. One morning, we were playing and he bit me really bad. It was very bloody and bad so I found him a new home where I wasn’t scared of him. He is fine now, I still see him occasionally and he has a good dog friend. P.S. we were editing some old tapes the other day and there he was, so he’ll probably still pop up every now and again since we still have so much old tapes yet to be edited.

A: Having sex with a man in uniform is not a bad thing, although that was not always the case with me. In the old days, they had to wear their uniforms when going off the ship or base on leave, maybe that is where the fascination started. I have always "waved the American Flag" for the military men because I wasn't able to go into the service. Having said that, they were pretty easy to pick up back in the sixties and seventies. That period, from Vietnam to before AIDS was so much more open. Guys could smoke some pot and have sex for sex, which was what I liked. I've just always been fascinated with straight men, especially military, probably because due to my insecurities and no threat of commitment.

A: Prior to starting Dirk Yates I shot other full features, starting with Sgt. Swann. This all began in 1985. I always had a fascination with military guys and in the early 90's I started shooting "interview" tapes as a test to see how they perform, if I could use them further down the line.

A: It's really hard to narrow that down. A: I've had my day with both and there is a difference. Navy is more oral and it is so true that Marines like getting poked.

A: Ninety five percent find me. I will shoot a guy and he will bring his buddy down. I am sure he tells them it is an interview to do straight porn, easy money, and I never hit on them. I never turn anyone down. My opinion on that is I never know who they will bring me. I remember I shot one of the ugliest guys and the very next day he called and said he had a buddy to bring down. A: I have never said I could direct although I have covered my ass by some of the best in the business to make me look good. My best work and something I am proud of is not all the Dirky amateur that I do, more of what I have produced that I am proudest of. Made sure every costume down to the socks and underwear was authentic. Huge cast with two make-up artists and of course hot sex as "Chi Chi LaRue":http://chichilarue.com directed it. I will never forget driving away from the location and thinking "this is as close to Hollywood as I'll ever get." A: Probably bisexual, at that point I have the guys where they are ready to do more and I love to see what I can do to get the girls to have them do more with each other. Then they are off to do boy-boy.
