Ruby on Rails Developer

If you are looking for an independent, agile team and love keeping up with the latest the Ruby community has to offer, this is the place for you.
Preference will be given to a candidate who can demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Rails 2.2/Edge, Flash/Flex, and standards-based web development.

Experience Required:

• 2 years developing Ruby on Rails applications
• 2 years working in a team-based environment
• 2 years working with MySQL
• Ability to work in quick iterations with strict deadlines

Skills Required:

• Fluency in Ruby
• Test- or Behavior-Driven Development Process (RSpec/Shoulda preferred)
• Expert-level competency in HTML/CSS
• Strong understanding of web standards

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Mac OS X
• Merb/DataMapper
• TextMate
• Version control (Git preferred)
• Rails deployment strategies (Capistrano/mongrel/mod_rails)
• AJAX experience
• Flash/Flex experience

Programmer

Programmer should specialize in: PHP, MySQL, XML, Linux Admin.
Candidate should have minimum 2-4 years on the job experience, should be self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with a gay adult material and a predominantly gay workplace. Also important is the candidate's ability to quickly adapt to changing business requirements, learn new systems, create reliable/maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems. Self-starting individuals with the ability to communicate effectively and stay on task in a distracting environment encouraged to apply.

Editor

Off-Site, Freelance Editing, Independent Contractor
Candidate should be fluent with Final Cut Pro (digital editing), Adobe After Effects, DVD Studio Pro, Photoshop, and proficient in creating high-end credits, menus, etc. Must have abilities to be aesthetically creative. Must be able to work from DV source tape and produce a final DVD check disc ready for replication. Qualified editors with minimum 2 years editing experience please apply

Make-Up

DVD Sales Person

Fulltime, In-house Employee. Candidate should have a minimum of 2-4 years of sales experience, should be self-motivated, and enjoy making cold sales calls. Most importantly, applicant should really enjoy sales! Candidates should also possess strong market research abilities, be able to identify profit centered decision making opportunities, have strong and confident phone skills, be available to travel, have basic sales and marketing knowledge, be well rounded in social atmospheres, have a working knowledge of the internet and MS Office, be able to communicate with all departmental teams and have strong written and verbal English skills. Pay consists of base + commission + benefits + great earning potential.

Web Designer/Design Implementer

Fulltime, In-house Employee OR Off-Site, Freelance, Independent Contractor (for certain projects).
Must be experienced in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML, and DHTML. Must have a working knowledge of JavaScript, ActionScript, Flash and of programming scripts: PHP and MySQL. Must have a working knowledge of color correction, photo compositing, gif animation and file optimization. In most cases web designer will be implementing and modifying print graphics and video for the web. Tasks include, but not limited to, banners, trailers, emailers, site redesign, newsletters, and daily web updates.

Promotions

Fulltime, In-house Employee. Duties will include (but not limited to) writing press releases, submitting press releases, story and photo submissions, photo selection and delivery, event coordinating, and both online and offline promotions. Must have working knowledge of the internet, MS Office, and some basic HTML skills. Must be able to communicate with all departmental teams and have strong written and verbal English skills.

Receptionist/Phone Orders

Fulltime, In-house Employee. Duties include heavy phone customer service, data entry and other general reception work. Candidates must possess a pleasant phone personality, computer skills, be detailed oriented and able to multi-task. Must have working knowledge of the internet and MS Office. Must be able to communicate with all departmental teams and have strong written and verbal English skills.
