Well as you all know it was Mother’s day this past Sunday and I took the advice of our extremely smart and cool accountant Polina, and took my mom out for dinner on Saturday night instead of Sunday. This seemed perfectly logical to me as I realized that if I go on Sunday I will avoid the huge lines, the crazy crowds, the tons of kids and the escalated prices. This all seemed like a perfectly calculated plan…except for the fact that I guess everyone else in the North Hollywood area must have spoken to Polina as well and received the same advice!
Danny and I took her to one of my favorite spots to eat steak: Outback Steak House (in Burbank). Being a creature of habit I always order the same thing, and pre-mother’s day Saturday was no exception. I always start our with a house salad (blue cheese and Italian dressings on the side), a 20oz rib eye cooked medium rare with a baked potato with sour cream and butter on the side. The waiter was our same waiter as last time and remembered what we got from a month ago!!! That amazes me since I can’t remember what people tell me from the morning till the afternoon!! It’s nice to spend holidays with your family, and we had a great time!
Thursday was the official red carpet opening of the new Mickey’s in West Hollywood (which had burnt to the ground a year or so ago). Now even though there was no actual red carpet, there were plenty of erotic cinema stars in attendance. I got to catch up with the likes of Ross Cannon, Tyler Saint, Coco LaChine (in drag!), Sean O’Mally, Jason Sechrest, Josh West, Robert Van Damn, Trevor Knight, Lex Sabre, Wolf Hudson, Rob Romoni, Howard from Fabscout, and the infamous David Forrest. They are really doing a great job there, and if anyone is in the neighborhood I will be at cocktails with the stars with 2 of my favorite C1R stars, Cameron Marshall and Vance Winter on Thursday June 11 so come down and say hi!
This is the week of finales for my favorite pastime in the world: Reality TV Shows. This week concludes the celebrity apprentice and we will see if Joan beats out Annie. Sundays best named the gospel contract winner of the season, Top model tells us who will be on top this cycle, We get to see who won the amazing race, we see who is this seasons survivor, and who shed the most pounds in the biggest looser. Dancing with the stars picks a winner next week as does American idol. As for whats coming up? One of my all time favorites So You Think You Can Dance? I survived a Japanese game show, The bBachelorette, Charm School and Top Chef Masters!!! I can’t get enough of it all!!
Have a great week…next week we prepare for Grabby week! We will talk then!!!
PS look on Chi Chi’s Blog and check out her starring role in the new RuPaul Video!
