Hey everyone, it’s Doug Jeffries here…and I am the OTHER director here at C1R. I say OTHER because one can get lost in the shadows of my mentor, the great drag queen, Porn director and legend, Miss Chi Chi LaRue. I thought I’d start this blog by telling everyone exactly how I got started in the crazy world of Chi Chi LaRue and then eventually to the crazy world of Channel 1 Releasing.
About 11 years ago I was living in Lost Wages Nevada (seriously and literally!). I used to visit West Hollywood all the time for bar hoping and general slutting around town. In one weekend of my depravity I met two amazing porn gods…one of them was Brandon Reevet. If you don’t know who this French muscle man is he is on the cover of Catalina’s Chicago Erection Co, and if you look at him you’ll see why I was out of my mind!! It was if he had just jumped out of the pages of a muscle and fitness magazine and he told me that he was here from Europe to do Adult videos. Wow! I thought…If I were to do adult videos maybe Id be having hot sex with guys like this and getting paid for it???
The next person I met that same weekend was someone who I ended up having a love/hate relationship for many years to come – Logan Reed. If you just moved to this planet and don’t know who he is he can be found on the cover of Chi Chi’s “Lost in Vegas” for All Worlds (an amazing video by the way if you haven’t seen it)! Logan told me that he was also in WeHo to do some video work, then he said the magic words. “You would be perfect for movies, I can send your pictures to my agent in Denver (where he was from) and he could get you work.”
Well, it only took a week and Dan Beyers called me up and said that All Worlds Video was shooting a big military movie called “Why Marines Don’t Kiss” and that I was up for one of the parts. The director was a man named Stan Ward, and he and I got along amazingly on the phone. He sent me a script and before I knew it I was in San Diego being picked up by Dirk Yates himself, given a military haircut and a new name and put to work fucking boys in the asses!!! The thing is…I was really good at it. I could always keep a hard on for hours, with whatever bottom they paired me with. Dirk Yates (my good friend still today!) immediately called his best director (Chi Chi LaRue) and told her about me.
My agent Dan then called me and said that Chi Chi wanted me to call her about her upcoming Falcon movie. Damn, I was nervous, excited and happy all at the same time. When I called her, that guttery voice told me that she wanted me to be in her movie and that she wanted me to come hear her sing with her band ‘The Johnny Depp Clones’ that weekend. Well..I immediately flew myself back to LA to see her and her band. I couldn’t believe what I saw!!!! A few drag queens and some rock and rollers singing what might be one of my favorite songs of that time “Cherry Bomb!” (later I was to go to New Orleans with Chi Chi to dance and I met the guy who WROTE cherry bomb!) This also became the first of a LONG list of celebrities that I met because of knowing and being friends with her.
After her set, my friend Mocha (our photographer to this day) brought me on stage. Ah, the anticipation of it all. I mean…she has to like me right? She saw my pics? She heard how great I was!! What she said still haunts me till this very day…“Your hair is too short! Falcon will hate it!” ahh…rejection. But I was determined to make it right!
I ended up coming to stay at her house (which turned into me living at her house…and then becoming her assistant) and us becoming what seems to be life long friends and business associates. She must have put me in about 50 movies of her own since then, including Link, The Final Link, Striptease, Steele Ranger and my favorite…The Bite 2! We have had our ups and downs but I have to say that I have learned how to handle talent, crew and people in general due to watching her throughout the years.
Because I was friends with Steven Walker for whom I was the muse for many a bondage movie…like “Target for Torment” (my personal guilty pleasure) , I was able to introduce the two directors to each other, which later turned into them creating Channel 1 Releasing. So when it was time for me to come on board as the OTHER director…we all fit perfectly!! So now what am I doing? Well, I’m following her lead once again by creating this blog. Each week Ill tell you whats up with my life and my productions. It may not be as glamorous as hers, but its sure might be sleazier!!! If anyone has any questions for me please feel free to post comments to my blog. I love the fans!!! I also love the not fans!!! LOL! So till next week…good bye for now!!
PS…How fierce is that girl Melissa from The Bachelor on Dancing With The Stars?!?!? Hopefully I can report to you live from there one day soon because Chi Chi and I go to a taping every season!!!
Xoxo,
Doug
